Maestri Del Re

100% handcrafted Italian cheeses

Origin

Since 2016 we have our own “IL RE” cheesery in the place Baiso, located in the heart of the Reggio Emilia in Italy. Il re literally mains ‘the king’. Parmigiano Reggiano is also called ‘the king among the cheeses’. At our Il Re Cheesery we make the best cheeses, based on three unique pillars:

• Our cows & milk
• Our production process
• Our people

Taste and Characteristics

Making cheese at Il Re is 100% handcraft, the cheesemaker makes the difference. Our cheesemakers and maturation experts are dedicated to their passion: making the best cheese. They make 35 cheeses every day of the year.

Specialities

Our cheesemakers are the the heart of this handfracted king of Italian cheeses, this is reflected in the name Maestri Del Re. The logo and design represents the iconic wheels of the Parmigiano Reggiano and Grana Padano. To represent the cratfsmanship you can see the cheese dowels crossed above the cheese wheel.

Parmigiano Reggiano

The taste is rich, intense, robust and full of character. Our Parmigiano Reggiano is the excellent seasoning to pasta and is perfect for cooking. However, pure with the original Basalmico di Modena or with a full red wine you will experience the devine taste of one of the most beautiful cheeses on earth!

Grana Padano

The taste is mild and rich, less salty but still intense. It melts very well and is perfect for cooking. You can enjoy Grana Padano with a good glass of red wine. Our Grana Padano is made from raw milk coming from the designated area in the North of Italy from the Po-area to the Dolemites. It is produced and ripened conform strict principles; according to the Grana Padano Consortium Regulations.
